Sharon and Terry discovered the bowed psaltery in 2009 at the Dulcimer Days Festival in Coshocton.  They purchased their first psalteries from Tish and Greg Westman soon after the festival. The Kirbys have  played for local nursing homes, at the Bowed Psaltery Symphony in  Beckley, WV, and with their Spring Creek Band for several years.  In 2012 Terry was looking for a new employment adventure and formed Spring Creek Psalteries. He builds several styles of psalteries, bows, psaltery holders for a tripod and door chimes .
